Climate Change and Resilience

IMI implements climate-responsive programs that integrate adaptation, mitigation, and environmental protection. Our work includes promoting climate-smart agriculture, disaster risk reduction (DRR), water resource management, and ecosystem restoration such as reforestation and afforestation.

We actively promote nature-based solutions (NbS), including mangrove restoration, wetland conservation, and community-led ecosystem management, to reduce climate risks while enhancing biodiversity and livelihoods.

IMI also advocates for climate justice by amplifying the voices of vulnerable communities in climate decision-making processes and supporting equitable access to climate finance. In addition, the organization promotes youth-led environmental initiatives and community awareness campaigns to encourage sustainable behaviors and long-term environmental stewardship.
