Seasonal and Special Support for Extremely Vulnerable Populations

IMI provides targeted seasonal assistance to extremely vulnerable households during critical periods such as winter, Ramadan, lean seasons, and other high-need situations. These interventions are designed to reduce seasonal hardship, prevent extreme deprivation, and ensure dignity for those most at risk.

Support includes winter clothing distribution (such as warm blankets, sweaters, and protective wear), Ramadan food assistance, Qurbani meat distribution, and cooked meal programs for destitute individuals and crisis-affected households. IMI also prioritizes nutrition support for lactating mothers and infants, contributing to improved maternal and child health outcomes during vulnerable periods.

In addition, IMI extends social support to extremely vulnerable individuals and families by facilitating dignified marriage assistance—particularly for underprivileged women—ensuring that such support is provided in a safe, ethical, and rights-based manner, without reinforcing harmful practices.

These interventions specifically target elderly persons, persons with disabilities, female-headed households, lactating mothers, infants and young children, and ultra-poor families to ensure inclusive and equitable humanitarian assistance that responds to seasonal and socio-economic vulnerabilities.
