I’m 20 and live in the Tulatoli slum beside Khulshi with my husband, Shipon, a painter. Life has been hard—I lost my first baby two days after birth. Now pregnant again, I was scared because we couldn’t afford proper healthcare.
Then I found the ECHO-IMI Healthcare Center, which changed everything. I received free check-ups, medicines, and caring support from doctors and health workers who even visited my home. They monitored my health and diet, and I got essential tests done—many free or at low cost.
Now, I feel safe, supported, and hopeful for my baby’s future. My story is one of many showing how ECHO-IMI Healthcare Center is transforming lives in the Tulatoli and Khulshi communities through accessible, quality healthcare.

We usually cannot afford to eat such good food. Rising commodity prices have made nutritious meals beyond our reach, and our family often suffers from malnutrition as a result. Currently, one kilogram of beef costs around 900 taka, and because of these high prices, we can’t afford to eat it even once every 3-4 months. Thanks to the initiative by Impact Initiative, people like us are getting the chance to enjoy meals like this. My entire family is overjoyed with this dish.
