Health, & WASH
Health and WASH are fundamental to human development, dignity, and resilience. In Bangladesh, vulnerable communities continue to face challenges such as malnutrition, unsafe drinking water, poor sanitation, limited access to healthcare services, and heightened risks during climate shocks and humanitarian crises. Women, children, elderly persons, persons with disabilities, and displaced populations are particularly affected.
Impact Initiative (IMI) adopts an integrated approach to improve health outcomes by strengthening access to safe water, adequate sanitation, proper nutrition, and community-based healthcare services. Our interventions focus on prevention, awareness, service delivery, and system strengthening to ensure equitable and sustainable access for all.
In the Next Five Years (2026–2030), Impact Initiative (IMI) Will Focus On:
- Expanding access to safe, nutritious, and sufficient food for vulnerable populations.
- Strengthening nutrition programs, including maternal and child health and community awareness.
- Scaling up WASH interventions to ensure safe water, improved sanitation, and hygiene practices.
- Promoting climate-resilient and sustainable WASH solutions in disaster-prone areas.
- Enhancing community-based healthcare systems, including training of community health workers.
- Expanding access to primary and preventive healthcare services in underserved communities.
- Integrating digital health solutions to improve service delivery and monitoring.
- Strengthening health awareness, early diagnosis, and referral systems.
- Targeting support for vulnerable groups, including women, children, elderly persons, and persons with disabilities.
- Strengthening partnerships with government, NGOs, and health service providers for improved service delivery and system strengthening.
