Social Protection
Social protection and inclusive services are essential to ensure dignity, safety, and equal opportunities for all, particularly for the most vulnerable groups in society. In Bangladesh, women, children, persons with disabilities, elderly populations, and orphaned children often face multiple layers of exclusion, limited access to services, and heightened risks of poverty, neglect, and violence.
Impact Initiative (IMI) promotes a rights-based and inclusive approach to social protection that ensures no one is left behind. Our interventions focus on strengthening protection systems, expanding access to essential services, and empowering vulnerable groups to participate fully in social, economic, and community life.
In the Next Five Years (2026–2030), Impact Initiative (IMI) Will Focus On:
- Strengthening gender inclusion and women’s empowerment across all sectors and programs.
- Expanding protection services for women, children, persons with disabilities, and elderly populations.
- Preventing and responding to gender-based violence through awareness, referral, and survivor-centered services.
- Enhancing inclusive social service delivery systems at community and institutional levels.
