IMI supports climate-resilient and market-oriented agricultural practices to improve productivity, food security, and income for smallholder farmers. Our on-farm interventions include improved crop production, livestock rearing, aquaculture, and climate-smart agriculture techniques.

In addition, IMI promotes off-farm livelihood opportunities such as small trades, services, agro-processing, and micro-enterprises to diversify income sources and reduce dependency on seasonal agriculture. These integrated approaches help households better cope with economic and climate shocks while enhancing overall livelihood sustainability.
